Everyone needs a good reminder once in a while, I reckon.
I was talking to a lady after church service this morning, and after our conversation I felt ashamed, in a way, but I was encouraged at the same time. Well, she was commenting on how cute Athan was and then she started asking how I was coping with the 2 boys and without hesitation I said “it’s a lot of work!” She paused and looked at me (slightly surprised) and said very calmly to me “but it’s very rewarding”. She’s right.
I have to admit that my first thoughts about my boys is always that they are a lot of work. Yes, they really are. But I have forgotten that the time and effort I invest in them is indeed rewarding and definitely worth it. I should remember to enjoy my time with the boys.
