I’ve been very busy at work lately (and thus the lack of posts on this blog). I was working hard on the project that I’ve been involved with. I had to get results — something that will help our clients identify potential groundwater spots at a local catchment area. And, I had to present my findings at a meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow, 21/4. Thank God for my colleague who has been working with me on this project. She will be helping out with the presentation as well. That’s a relief. Hopefully everything will go well tomorrow.
Last week was a tough week for me. I worked late at every of my working day and as a result I went home late. And, I only saw my boys for 30 minutes – one hour before their bedtime. I felt so guilty and lousy inside. I was drained too, when I got home. Thank God for Robin and his mum who have helped so much with taking care of the boys and with the cooking. This is one of the hard things with working part-time — working more than you are paid for. Fortunately, I don’t usually have to stay back late. I usually go home on time — I try to.
At the home front, things are running as per normal, I would say. Calvin is having a break from his kindy for 2 weeks, and so he is home on Friday. I take him out during the morning to spend some time with him so that he does not get bored. Yup, he actually gets bored at home and asked me ” ma ma, wo xian zai yao zhuo shen me?” (mum, what should I do now?) He is missing his kindy already as he has been asking to school. Athan is doing well, and this little man needs stimulation too. At this age, he is interested in everything we do or eat. He wants a share. Both boys are keeping me busy at home, but I am happy to be with them.
