Gallery Visit.

One of afternoon activities during the conference was a social/recreational one. I chose a visit to a local art gallery.

The building was an old church that has been restored to its natural beauty.  In fact, the chapel and a *sample cell* (where the nun lived) were still inside.  The gallery even had a function hall where weddings or social functions could be held.  The art pieces that were on display were mostly oil paintings of landscape and they were all very beautiful.   And, the garden around the church — what can I say?   It was simply BEAUTIFUL.

We had a walk around the very well maintained garden after afternoon tea(yup, we had yummy scones with jam and cream for afternoon tea at the gallery!).  How I wished Robin and the boys were with me.  I’m pretty sure they would enjoy the gallery as much as I did. Oh well, maybe next time.
