It has been a rather cool day today. It rained too. We were stuck indoors most of the time until later in the afternoon when the rain finally stopped and we could see a little of the sun peeking through the thick dark clouds.
Calvin was dying to play outside and at his repeated requests, I took him (Athan was still sleeping) out to the front of the house and told him we were not going anywhere far. He was happy just to be able to go out! Boys.
Then I took the pair of shears that was nearby and began cutting back the over-grown lilly pilly plants that were along our driveway. I have been annoyed at the over-grown branches as they brushed against my car whenever I reverse out. Calvin got really interested at what I was doing and wanted to help. So I got him to pick up the clippings and stack them at the verge. He was excited and was running up and down the driveway with the clippings. He did well, I have to say. He listened and followed my instructions and most importantly, he did not get onto the road. He had so much fun. And, we were such great team!
