Reunion dinner is an important part of Chinese New Year — that’s what I was taught and grew up with. Important mainly because it is a time when all family members gather at the dinner table to have a meal together. It is a pity that we can’t be with our families at this time of the year. I am sure the boys will enjoy the festive mood and goodies. Anyhow, Robin and I decide to carry on the tradition and have our little reunion dinner with family here in Perth.
We had steam boat at home. We invited Robin’s cousin and husband and a couple of friends to join us for the dinner. Calvin was allowed to stay up a little bit to join in the celebration. He absolutely loves the food and the cooking part. We had so much food and laughter. And we love it.
